NASHVILLE, Tenn.—With nearly 60 country radio stations across the U.S. now spinning “A Big Ole Texas Christmas,” Dove Award-winning quartet Canton Junction has toes tapping to their latest single. An upbeat ode to holiday traditions uniquely Texas, the Western Swing-influenced tune was co-penned by country hitmaker Phil Vassar and is featured on Canton Junction’s critically acclaimed new release, A Canton Christmas.
Among country stations now playing “A Big Ole Texas Christmas” are Watertown, New York’s WFRY; KRAZ in Santa Barbara, California; KXOX in Sweetwater, Texas; and Renegade Radio Nashville, which is broadcast around the world online.
“Bob Wills would be proud,” says Chris Diestler of KQBA Radio in Santa Fe, New Mexico. “This new Texan Christmas anthem really swings!”
Mike Thomas of KWRE/KFAV Radio in Warrenton, Missouri, adds, “The perfect song to put a little ‘swing’ in your Christmas celebration. Imagine Asleep at the Wheel meets The Oak Ridge Boys.”
